About this step
Having designed and written a draft of the national strategy it is a good practice to consult upon it and receive feedback that could lead to improvements in the final draft. This consultation typically includes domestic stakeholders and international experts and officials from partner countries. Several countries have published their draft strategy online and then invite feedback from all sectors of the country and the public.
Once the revised draft has been produced after these consultations it should be submitted to the Steering Committee, where one has been appointed, and ultimately to the political leadership that will approve and adopt it. Further revisions may be needed during this approvals process.
